Gilmour Macleod

Our versatile and effervescent accompanist studied at Trinity College of Music in London under John Bingham and was awarded numerous prizes. Concert highlights include the Grieg Concerto at St John’s Smith Square. He has made several appearances at the Edinburgh Festival. He also enjoys teaching, both privately and at the Giffnock Saturday School. Gilmour is sometimes to be found at the historic Britannia Panoptican in Glasgow where he delights audiences with improvised accompaniments for showings of silent films. More importantly for us, his brilliant playing and inimitable humour enliven Merchant Voices rehearsals.
